Nevenko Sculac is a painter based in Rijeka, in the Kvarner region of western Croatia. Self-taught, he began with drawing and mosaic before moving into portraiture and oil painting. He now works primarily in acrylic.

Sculac participates regularly in ex-tempore events in Croatia and abroad. He was awarded first place at the inaugural ex-tempore in Ližnjan and has exhibited throughout Croatia and in neighbouring Slovenia.

His work examines the instability of space and time, treating them as mutable conditions rather than fixed structures. Forms are pared back yet layered with symbolic weight. He seeks a balance between clarity and enigma, simplicity and contradiction, allowing tension to remain visible within the composition.
